Stitch Bloom Project
Collaborative Art Project
Saturday 8th & 9th June 11am - 3pm each day at Refinery ArtSpace.
Free event
No experience required
Join local contemporary fibre artist Fleur Woods to stitch a simple bloom onto this ever growing and evolving collaborative art project.
Stitch Bloom started as a textile chain letter and evolved into individual blooms being stitched and sent from all over the world to Fleur. This wonderful collection of embroidered blooms has now been collaged into a stitched garden and Fleur is inviting anyone who is interested to come and view the project and stitch a bloom to fill the remaining spaces. All resources are supplied, this is a free of charge drop in session no booking required.
The goal of the project is to gather people together to create and explore making marks with stitch and also complete a finished artwork created with love by many hands for public display and to fundraise for UN Women.
