About your play instigator

Stef Naldi is a Nelson-based textile maker. After graduating from NMIT’s Arts & Media programme in 2021, Stef has been involved in knitting and crochet-based community projects, a Fringe Festival textile-based performance, and has been lucky enough to be
selected for the 2023 Changing Threads exhibition. Since then, Stef has been working on loosening her practice through intuitive mark-making, embroidery, and mixed media exploration.

Extra information (will be delivered on sign up)
There will be an opportunity to take some photographs during the workshop - either a smart phone or digital camera will work well. If you feel like going analog, you are welcome to sketch instead (sketching materials provided).

If you own a sewing kit (or an assortment of needles, scissors, pins, thimbles, etc.), please bring it along. You are also welcome to bring fabric and other materials you would like to play with. Leftover materials from sewing (small fabric cutoffs, thread ends, etc.) are also great for experimenting and playing.
